Eye Makeup -> Makeup Concealers

There are undereyes concealers and concealers for pimples or spots

Lets talk about undereyes concealers first.
When you look for an undereyes concealer you need to make sure you know exactly what you need.
Some people need to cover very dark circles. When you have deep brown circles don't go for a light shade
of concealer. It will make it worst. You need a neutral undertone close to your skin color. If you have
purple circles under your eyes you need to use a concealer with a yellow undertone so it will break the
red.

But again go fot a  color that's close to your skin tone. Don't forget your goal is to even your skin tone not
to make your circles show up more. Beside matching your color, finding the right concealer texture is
very important. You need to keep in mind that the skin around your eyes is three times thiner than on your
face.

That's why you have to use an eye cream twice a day. Some people have very dehydrated skin around
eyes. That's why dark circles and lines show up more. In this case you have to use a smoothing liquidy
texture. Before you buy a concear ask to try it on first and take your time to wear it. If it's to thick for your
skin needs in few hours it will crease.
Concealers have different levels of coverage. The more coverage it has the thicker texture is and the
more shows up.

  • choose the testers.
  • choose a concealer that is about one shade lighter than your natural skin color.
  • buy a concealer that is one shade lighter than your eyes
  • use liquid concealer for dry skin
  • use solid concealer for pimples, scars and bruises.
  • your concealer should always be 1 or 2 shades lighter than your foundation,
which provides a more natural look.
  • for under eye circles choose a concealer that is one shade darker than your
    skin tone.

Tips to choose the best concealer:

  • it covers everything and it gives you a flawless look.

The best place to apply concealer to make sure it matches skin is to apply it along
your jaw line if it blends in and matches you skin tone then that's the one.

Most of the stores have policies that you can bring the concealer back if the color
doesn't work for you.

The concealer should pretty much match your skin-tone and your foundation. You
want whatever flaw you're covering to disappear and having a different colour there
will only draw attention to that area. The point of concealer is to make that part of you
skin blend in with the rest, so really you should try to find a shade that matches.

If you're concealing under-eye circles it's okay to go a little lighter than your skin
tone, as it can help to counteract the darkness- but only a little. if it's too light the
area will start to look ashy.

If you do buy a slightly lighter concealer for your under-eyes try not to use it for
covering blemishes etc. i'd recommend you pick up another one, that matches your
skin-tone for other areas.

You should test concealers on your face. Some people say to test on the back of the
hand, but the shade there is often different, so face is best. I suggest you take a
pocket sized mirror in your handbag when you go shopping, so that you can leave
the store and check the shade outside in more natural lighting to ensure that it is a
match.

Offering more coverage than a foundation, concealer is ideal for camouflaging facial
imperfections. It will neutralize and balance the look of a blemish and those dreaded
under-eye circles.

Consider concealers that are one to two shades lighter than your skin tone.
Remember that the idea is to make a darker spot blend into your complexion.

Select a concealer most appropriate for the area you wish to cover. A creamier
version is recommended for the delicate under-eye area, while a drier formula is
better suited to other facial skin.

Test variations of a yellow-based concealer, since white, green and pink concealers
can leave you with colored rather than concealed imperfections.

Sample a few versions. When purchasing from a drugstore, ensure that you can
return any item that doesn't complement your coloring.

Concealer may be all you need to balance out your complexion.

Go a shade darker during the summer months, when you have a little more color to
your skin.
