I usually meet teenagers with bad acne.

How are the pimples caused?

  • Hormones. If you are a teenager it is normal to have pimples (caused by hormonal imbalance)
  • Oily Face
  • If your parents had pimples or acne, you'll probably have a good chance of getting it to
  • And washing your face too much or too little
  • unwashed hair, dirty sheets (change sheets weekly), crap skin products from the supermarket, and a bad diet
  • stress

How to get rid of them:
Washing face 2 times max (morning and night). Over washing
can rid of your natural oils and make the skin produce more oil
                                                                                     then needed.
Don't rub your skin dry. Remember, you want to be gentle to
your skin. Scrubbing harder or rubbing harder isn't going to do
you any good. Just irritates the pimple, making it worse. Try
patting dry after a wash. Don't touch your face. Oils on hands
will get on your skin and make things worse.
Drinking 2 Liters of water everyday can help. Water keeps the
                                                                                     skin moist and looking young.
It also flushes your waste system (urine)
You can buy any of the Clean and Clear products. Use an
oil-free cleanser at night. Use warm (not hot or cold) water.
                                                                                     Don't use toner.
Use a light moisturizer (without sunscreen).
- Don't use cleanser in the morning. Just wash gently with warm water, and then use a light moisturizer.
- Sweating via exercise helps flush out pores/acne.
- Honey can be used as a very effective cleanser.
- pop them before you go to bed, wash, use astringent then go over it with a tea tree oil stick. Or just use the tea
tree oil stick on the first signs.
- After you wash your face use tea tree oil as a toner. It's a natural agent.
- Try not to touch your face at all and definitely don't try to squeeze them, if you need to first get a hot compress
(wet hot towel, not to hot) and put it over it the area it will come out on its own and then just wipe it off.

- Help your skin heal faster by getting enough rest, sleep before 11pm (Because 11pm to 1am the body begins to
recharge itself). avoid or minimize the intake of sodas, caffeinated or alcoholic drinks. Alcohol tends to dehydrate
skin and mess up your system.
- Any physical activity that increases your heart rate (for oxygen circulation) and makes you sweat (to release
toxins from the body through sweat). An alternative to exercise is a sauna (for the face) then clean with your
cleanser and water.
- If the pimples are caused by stress, find a way to release the stress by relaxing or engaging in physical activity.
This helps to unblock areas in the body which may affect your skin.

How to cure a pimple

1. Wash you skin thoroughly and pat it dry with clean towel.
2. Wrap an ice cube in a washcloth and hold it over the spot for a minute or two; it'll help bring down the swelling.
3. Dip the end of a cotton swab into some diluted tea tree oil (available at any pharmacy) and dot a tiny amount
directly into the pimple.
4. Leave it alone to heal. Don't pop, pinch, or squeeze pimples, it will only make it worse. If pimple is still not
healing, try using concealer to hide it. Don't choose concealer darker or lighter than your natural skin tone, or
you'll draw attention to the problem. Here are the steps to using concealer:

- If the pimple is dry and crusty, apply a little petroleum jelly (like vaseline) first to soften it.
- Apply the concealer to the pimple using a clean cotton swab. (Don't apply concealer on areas around the spot that
don't need it or you'll just create a "halo effect".)
- Pat some face powder over the concealer to set it and help it stay put all day long.

Do not pop your pimples they will scar. Take a hot wet rag and hold it down on your pimple till all the pussy crap
surfaces and when it breaks (on it's own) put some peroxide in it.
The difference between pimples and acne:

- Pimples are just one infection of a single pore.
- Acne is numerous infections in multiple pores.

Why?When you're younger, it's usually oily skin that does you in. For adults, common causes are stress hormones
and allergies. No matter what the trigger, the anatomy of a pimple is the same.
What?
It starts with an accumulation of dead skin cells mixed with excess oil that clogs a pore and cuts off its oxygen
supply. Each clogged pore is home to acne-causing agents that love an oxygen-starved environment. The longer a
pore is clogged the more these agents multiply, releasing aggravating substances that lead to irritation and
infection under the skin—pimples.
How do you fight it?
This is the easy part. You start with gentle exfoliation to open clogged pores. Oxygen evicts acne-causing bacteria.
Medicated ingredients rush in to accelerate treatment. Voila!—Clearer skin. The idea is to get immediate
breakouts under control, then stop problems before they erupt—with a consistent, daily regimen that's non-
irritating.

Does stress cause breakouts?
Sure. The hormones associated with stress can cause an increase in oil production, which then leads to more
breakouts. So take a deep breath and try to cope.

Can the wrong moisturizer make you break out?
Absolutely. Using the wrong products for your skin type, or misusing products, can clog pores, which can lead to
breakouts—especially in acne-prone skin. To make sure your skin gets the daily essential hydration it needs—
without clogging pores— get skin-typed online or at a Clinique counter.

My skin is oily. Do I really need a moisturizer?
Yes. All skins need hydration. Use an oil-free product to help keep pores clear.

What if I have an acne emergency?
Not to worry. After daily care, dab on Emergency Gel-Lotion or Spot Healing Gel . If red, use concealer in your
skin tone and finish with Clinique Clarifying Makeup . Touch-up as needed.

Will sun protection make me break out?
No. But not using it might. Ever notice how you get more acne after the summer? Sun actually triggers breakouts.
Plus, some acne prescriptions make you more sensitive to sunlight. That's why the right sun protection is essential.
Think lightweight, oil free. City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25 is a great option, or daily
moisturizer with SPF specifically for oily skin.
